The Pot-bellied pig is a breed of swine form Vietnam. What makes this pig different from other breeds is his size. A typical swine can reach 400 kg, while the Pot-bellied pig shouldn’t have over 100 kg. In average, the Pot-bellied pig weights 60 kg.
The Pot-bellied pig and other pig breeds can be crossed and generate offspring. So, you need to be particularly careful when buying a Pot-bellied pig so you don’t end up with an animal with more 300 kg then expected.
The Pot-bellied pig lives in average 12 to 15 years, although the oldest pig of this breed has reached 20 years old.

The Pot-bellied pig shares the same behavior as its large relatives. They can develop bonds with humans and can share a life as a pet. They are very trainable for pigs, can be housebroken and like to play.
Their love for food makes them go extreme ways to get it. He spends the time scavenging the ground and can get aggressive if food is in his sight but it isn’t given to him.
