The Thai Ridgeback is believed to be at least 350 years old. It is most common in Eastern Thailand where it is used for hunting & guarding. It is a rare dog but becoming more common in the U.S.

General Appearance [ edit ]
The Thai Ridgeback is a medium-size, muscular dog that is slightly longer than it is tall. It has a wedge-shaped muzzle; large, erect, triangular ears; & dark, almond-shaped eyes. It has a short, smooth coat with a Ridge along the back that is formed by hair growing in the opposite direction. It may be chestnut, red, blue, fawn or black.
